OUR HOMES
Our homes are well maintained, we have a handyman who fixes things immediately. We have a weekly cleaner and a gardener that maintains our gardens monthly between May to October. Creating clean, modern well maintained spaces encourages our young people to take pride in their home and be proud of their home. A safe, warm place to return to each night.
PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
We provide weekly fitness and cookery sessions for our young people. Being able to shop for and cook healthy meals is a key independence skill for when they move on to their permanent homes. These sessions help them to understand budgeting, nutrition, self care and handy tips like batch cooking. When our young people have their cooking session, they cook enough to freeze a meal and for their housemates too - the household that eat together - grow together
EMPLOYMENT & TRAINING
We have a sister company that offers an employment route for our young people. As they start to develop independence skills we encourage them to apply for vacancies so that they can start earning extra money to save for their new homes. We host regular workshops and each young person is supported to work with Employment and training agencies to ensure that they develop the skills and qualifications to compete in the labour market.
